Dear colleagues,
We are writing to you to draw your attention to a call for contributions launched by the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the promotion of truth, justice, reparation and guarantees of non-recurrence.
The Special Rapporteur’s next report, to be presented at the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in 2026, will focus on the role of emerging technologies in transitional justice processes. He is seeking analyses, observations, and feedback, particularly from academia and legal professionals. Contributions may be submitted in French, English, or Spanish.

Contributions must be submitted by January 9, 2026, via email to [email protected] with the subject line: “Input for the report on new technologies and transitional justice”.
Submitted documents should not exceed 1,500 words and may be submitted in Word or PDF format.
We hope that your organization and members will be able to participate in this important exercise aimed at fostering international discussion on this topic.

Le prochain rapport du Rapporteur spécial, qui sera présenté à la 81e session de l’Assemblée générale des Nations Unies en 2026, portera sur le rôle des technologies émergentes dans les processus de justice transitionnelle. À cette occasion, il sollicite des analyses, observations ou retours d’expérience provenant notamment du milieu universitaire et des spécialistes du droit. Les contributions peuvent être soumises en français, en anglais ou en espagnol.
