This workshop will focus on developing a critique of student anonymous evaluations of teaching, and develop our capacity to advocate for and illustrate alternatives. Topics will include: A range of critiques of this approach; the arbitration decision at Ryerson which substantially prevented their use in T&P at that university will be briefly; other Canadian universities designing new approaches; how to consider and respect student voice on teaching.
A full set of resources and documents will be available following the session.
